I'm a big fan of proper Irish soda bread too! We love bread very much but have had to make an effort to cut back on to help with losing weight. I've used a Panasonic breadmaker for a number of years with great results which I realise is a bit like buying a Mini compared to a Morgan. Olive bread comes out very nice in it amongst others.
