Back in the late 70s i used to run a mobile disco with a rather large light show,i would start the night off in darkness to the sound of Hawkwind and as it built to a crescendo switch all the lights and strobes on and fade hawkwind out to the sounds of best disco in town that used to get eveybodys attention.To get the ladies out on the floor it was always abba or the dreaded Nolans and after a few of those slip on a bit of Quo or clapton.You would always get a thumbs up from the guys but then the girls would one by one flee the dance floor.So then back to the Dooleys or some drivel to get the girls back out and then some purple for the boys and so it went on,finish off with three times a lady for the young farmers club boys to have a kiss and a grope(IF they were sober and very lucky) happy days ring any bells with any of you.
