When I saw this post I knew it would be very popular. The wife and I are always choosing our 8 gramophone records for when we get castaway on our desert island. Its surprising how it changes.For what its worth here is my choice of 5:

The list definitely dates me to a post war (national milk powder) child.
The last one is a particular favourite of mine, as you can see from my avatar, I love Cuba.
As an aside Vinyl is far superior in sound quality to CD's especially when you combine it with valve amplifiers, the difference is astonishing. I have built my own amps over a number of years and can highly recommend the result.
