The after-market parabolics supplied for MGB's were under-engineered and on V8's soon twisted into an S shape. Quite a lot had to be replaced. Familiar subject eh?
Back in 1966 I bought a new Midget from John Sprinzel in Bayswater a well known rally driver and MG dealership. We fitted Konis to the rear with great success after the initial rear floor failure ! He designed some brackets and had them made worked a treat. He used a Midget on the Monte Carlo Rally fitted with the conversion. I was standby second driver/navigator but sadly didn't get to go.
