Removed mine also, i don't have particularly large feet but kept catching the brake pedal. I then refitted the roller to the outer (right hand) side and that made a great difference. As Graham says, Organ pedal not for everybody.
Fitting a slim foot rest above the clutch pedal is also worthwhile, saves your foot from hovering on long trips.
