My navigator used a ring bound book. He could correct as we went as some stages were used more than once and often the notes need changing as conditions change. The biker world have plastic box versions of what you type for a fraction of the cost of the item in the link and I have seen some nifty home made versions housed in a plastic sandwich box with wood dowels and a glued in clear plastic window.
