The balance weights are adhesive on the inside but the 4/4 rim shape doesn't provide a very wide flat area, so they are slightly wider than optimum. Three of the four needed weights on the outside and on a 4/4 rim the only option is a knock on weight. There's no flat rim area.

Old biker trick Dave is to get some lead strip and wrap it around the outer spoke, might work and painted black would soon blend in maybe?
