I have tried Supaguard and found it pretty good for everyday protection. However like you haven't used it for the special cars preferring to use Zymol which I imagine is very similar to Swisswax in effectiveness and cost. To be honest I find Zymol hard to beat.
It was the article in Octane that made me think about Gtechniq. The MGB which it had been applied to looked particularly glossy.

That Gtechniq is nanomeric made me more interested having just tried Car Plan Nanomeric Glass Treatment. I picked that up in the bargain basement section of Halfords for five pounds and was pleasantly surprised although I think the product may now have been discontinued. I usually use Audi rain repellant (which was developed for the rear window of the A2) on my windows. It's extremely good and much more durable than Rain X etc - if you would like the Audi part number for that please PM me.
On the subject of Gtechniq - will give them a call and if I do buy some will let you know how it works out.
