Thank you all for the benefit of your experiences. I'm tempted by the AVOs but not sure about the Mulberry steering bearings and springs.
I had roller bearings (admittedly not quite the same thing but with the same purpose) fitted to my last Morgan, a +8, also an older car and the result was so appalling that what few teeth I have nearly fell out.
So I'm a little reluctant to go down that route.
