I've been following this thread with interest. When Empire made the top wishbones, they made up a jig which enables all following wishbones to be made exactly the same, and I don't think they realised at the time that the adjustment would be quite limited, but as hbatts said, it is only a matter of taking a small amount of metal off the threaded end to allow the spherical joint to screw further in. As I recall, there is sufficient thread to allow this, always best to double measure before removing metal of course.
