Dreams are dreams. Some catch their dreams and others just keep dreaming about catching that beautiful dream...
I can relate to that.
From late teenager throughout my adult life, when I would think of a hot rod of my dreams, it was a Willys coupe gasser style. Like Stone Woods & Cook. Oh and it had to have a blown hemi motor as well. That was the picture in my mind's eye.
After drooling for years about it and going to car shows without a car, my wife finally just said sell all of my projects etc and get what I dreamed about. Boy was that a BIG day for me.
I built that car and of course black with red leather interior, hot rod style!
Well I drove that car to show after show and loved it. Got best of show and class about every place I took it. I put 16k miles on that car over just two short years.
But I sold it as I got tired of it, at least that's what I thought. Now it's gone and my wife is still peeved at me for selling it.
So that "was" my dream car, but I moved on with something at the time I liked better.
I would agree that a black with red leather M3W is very cool and that would have been my choice. I said would have been... Until I saw the pictures of the Heritage model. For me, that epitomizes all that's old and classic. I love that car very much. I could also see it in couple other colors, red/cream and black/silver.
I think I would be hard pressed to NOT change to the new Heritage color scheme.
Dreams can change, or should I say improve.
