I agree and worse is that typically a batteries capacity after peaking during the first few charge/discharge cycles, then starts a slow downhill run on capacity. That 75 mile safe radius is going to diminish.
Certainly a vehicle that has a restricted range is never going to sell to people who require an unrestricted range, but real-world evidence of battery life coming from cars out there being used seems to suggest that battery life can be expected to be much greater than the doom and gloom merchants would have us believe.
There are plenty of 10 year old 100k+ mile Priuses (Prii? Prions?) out there with perfectly healthy batteries, greatly exceeding original predictions.
My guess is that a 75-150 mile range is going to be fine for many potential EV3 owners.
