I certainly have never been dissapointed with Autoglyms HD wax
I've been using it on all my cars since it first came out and I find it very easy to use - I warm the sponge by using hot water and giving it a good squeeze out then very lightly apply a thin layer
Let it cure and then lightly buff off in straight lines with a fine microfibre
The car has to be very clean and dry first
I also really like Maguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer for a quick shine
After using polishing compounds with a mechanical polisher, I don't think I will use a polish by hand again - I don't think it does anything
