I went to the scrap yard yesterday looking for an engine cover, I could only find a Galaxy one but did manage to get it complete with mountings. A few minutes on the band saw then some cleaning up with a sharp file and it fits. The studs for the mountings were already on the cylinder head, I managed to use two out of the three mounting so it's quite secure.
A couple of pics to show the before and after. I think I will also cover the bonnet louvers over the oil filler cap, as meabh showed in his post.
I'll also check the plugs quite often until I know how water proof it's going to be.
