When you're exposed to the insanity of cagers texting I think you want your eyes, and even your ears, at full use. I feel safer in my M3W, but it's a false sense. Get t-boned by some pimple faced teenager texting and it's all over in either. I wanna hear horns, ambulances, etc. and you need to blast music for it to be heard in an M3W. Just my take on it.
I have to agree on all points. Situational awareness is all important in these beasties. It has saved my bacon a few times. Usually prefaced by "What the...?"
