I agree. "CPES" epoxy is not in-expensive to source. However; it will last and if used with some idea of maintaining strength it will not break. But at least for this piece I think it would be easier to just screw in a new timber. Sure makes Me wonder how it rotted in the first place. I can understand wood in the sill or rocker but not where this one is. Must be a story some place.

I think one of Richards initial posts was telling us that the car had been shut away unused in a garage for 12 years so that tells the story I guess.
