Yes it's the top of wd816, the interior will need replacing so I will look at removing the whole piece through the panel behind the seats.
So far all the other wood I've found looks good.
The old petrol in the tank looked like creosote when I drained it.
I'm glad that was the extent of the rot and your journey over the car of discovery is kind to you.
Keep the creosote for coating the new wood
