Nice write-up Ludo, I too prefer the purity of the S1.
The center nuts are a pain in the *** though, the stereo under the dash is simply dangerous and the S1 roof tend to leak more than the S2's. (differs from car to car)
So for everyday driving, I would prefer an S2 or later model. For weekend blasts however, I couldn't be happier with my S1.
