Sound like an opportunity for an owner in the south to get in contact and see if they are interested and what they can offer.
Could be a good idea to bring them a visit but my hope is mostly based on a solution of Garage 56.
That there must be a solution is something I'm sure. Driving BMW bikes for more than 40 years (and still doing) I never had one that screamed. But perhaps that's because it's build with the German " gründlichkeit "
