I've lurked on this and a couple of other sites for a while as I looked for a 'classic' [my definition] Morgan. 25 years ago I ran a flat rad +4 and a mos box +8 [glory days!]and I'm just finalising purchase of a 67 +4 -recent rebuild, scuttle roll bar telescopic rear end racstorations engine brmm brmm!!
My posing of the question was a serious one [no josh - I'll come to that in a minute] provoked by the invisibilty of earlier cars on this and other sites and generally. When I saw the heading classic Morgans on this site I thought 'this is the place' but I don't think I have seen anything related to older cars in the time I haver been on. Talking to a couple of people with older cars the attitude seems to be that the club in the UK has changed and offers nothing for owners of older cars and a general sense of isolation - tragic!
Simon thanks for the explanation of the the nomenclature here - from an MMC perpective it's great marketing but the term classic in a car context would certainly not include new cars in most car enthusiasts minds It is certainly not my intention to name call or disparage anybody who is enthusiastic about Morgans - I've been an enthusiast since my treens and owned cars with 3 and 4 wheels since 1970. I'm just greatly saddened that from my current perspective the marque seems to separating from its history. Wondering what can be done about it and happy to be proved wrong
