Seems to me there were two offenses..
Speeding
Using the outside lane

For what it is worth I'm informed, by a neighbor who is a trucker for DHL that the belief among the HGV 1 Driver Community is that average speed cameras are set at 57mph, because trucks are governed to 56 mph and driving them at 50mph is a real pain. I wonder if it is really so.

I set the cruise control at 53. So far, so good...!
