I just bought an electric grease gun. That really pushed out the old grease & now it is easier to do.
The car has the plastic (Devol) bushings which Mr Morgan recommends greasing every 5k or when they squeak. I have been opting for 1k, GoMog says 3k. Am I overdoing it?
What do others with Devol bushes do?
I have Devol bushes in My '63 +4-4Str. Have had them for Years along with Hard Chrome KP's. I would suggest 5,000 miles in adequate. But I try to grease them once in the Spring and once in the late Summer. +4 is garaged for the Winter months. But when the time comes I would replace them with the Bronze Spiral bushes. I inspect the King Pins about every other year. I have turned them 180 degrees the last time I inspected them. I think the Devol's pick up and hold grit more than Bronze or Vesconite. Just My observation Mind You.
