Steve has pretty well summed it all up.
The Trad buttoned hood can be a pain .
But on my 4/4 I quickly got used to it and with practice I got pretty good at Up and Down .
It folds really flat too so that a bonus.
The hood on my Plus 8 is a Trad one by choice. As Neil says you do get used to it and it does give a much flatter line with the hood down, which makes it worthwhile imho. Having driven through some very heavy storms, it does not leak though I get the usual drops coming through at the front/bottom of the screen.
So far I have not attacked it with a DaveW directed assault of neoprene, but I'm quite happy with the performance of the hood!
