The hood on my Plus 8 is a Trad one by choice. As Neil says you do get used to it and it does give a much flatter line with the hood down, which makes it worthwhile imho. Having driven through some very heavy storms, it does not leak though I get the usual drops coming through at the front/bottom of the screen.

So far I have not attacked it with a DaveW directed assault of neoprene, but I'm quite happy with the performance of the hood! cheers flag


Mines lousy for keeping the water out. Comes in by the bucket load - mind you it is always neatly folded up underneath the sidescreens in the back of car sun, rain and snow! gloomy grin2
