I assume that you had the roadster and not the coupe (?).
I'm not entirely convinced that you are comparing like for like then. A roadster is a open top but the coupe has to have the roof on if you want to take advantage of any boot space. Right?

I'm not going to disagree with your comments about the lack of boot space though, Ken. It's probably one of the main issues with the roadster (considering the size of the car) but one has to adapt if one wants to own one. It's all about compromise with these niche cars.

I have a boot rack which I attach if I need to carry a bit extra. Where theres a will.... smile
