Another daft question maybe. When washing the bonnet or giving it a pre wash spray how much water will get in to and on the engine - is this a problem ? does it mean an engine clean on every car wash ? I am thinking the louvre 's could be a problem. Do any of you cover the engine before cleaning?
Yes, I cover the engine when I wash the car.
I once had problems with water around the spark plugs on the Duratec engine. This happened after a 200 km drive through massive rain. Getting an engine cover is on my todo list.
