I did wonder about having a wingless wheel nut welded to the threaded shaft, but the luggage rack gets in the way if you're swinging the hammer!!!! (It wouldn't be that tight in truth.......)
This would work without a rack, but the nut would need a rechrome after welding, so it gets a bit pricey.
