Quieter when pootling; louder (baked bean can according to my feline friend) and more exciting (pops and snarls) when pushed.

Do listen to Boshly the Great, he knows his onions when it comes to exhausts.
If you do decide not to go for side-pipes, then make sure you get the larger single oval sports exhausts; RTCC fitted mine. They sound better than Librands IMHO, a deeper bass sound, and also look more authentic too. You'd be a donkey not to fit them!
