I rarely have either hood or side screens fitted.
+1. Strange but true - the car is quieter (no hood frame rattles) and more comfortable without the side-screens. No buffeting, even at higher speeds. But, funnily enough, put the side-screens on and there is a piercing draft in the passenger foot-well. The car is configured without side-screens all year round. We are both retired so we can pick the fine days, winter or summer.
Question for Ian Wegg. Should the weather look iffy and the hood is up I find it acts as a giant air scoop and can put strain on the hood fixings at the rear sides. How about you?
