The Rover V8 takes the temp sensor from various places. It could be in the radiator, it could be in the inlet manifold close to the thermostat. Try the MG Owners Club MGV8 parts list, or a Land Rover Parts specialist. When you fit it, the hole in the flange should be at 12 o'clock.
