ps - just took car for MOT: not to a Mog garage but a 'regular car' company who look after my other family cars(don't want to say who for obvious reasons - read on...) Rear indicator was not earth properly and was shorting through the rear fog lamp; when tester entered results into DOT test page on web, the hand brake was below acceptable reading; the tester 'juggled' the readings from hand brake test results so got a pass; as to indicator problem, he issued me with a failed notice and immediately issued me with a pass notice, knowing full well I would rectify problem once I got home. These 'old time' mechanics are few and far between and worth their weight in gold to true enthusiast like us Mog owners. Long may they last.
Nothing wrong with your description ;-) Delay down to flat out granddad duties ;-)
