So, resurrecting an old thread with the news that the BBC has signed Matt Leblanc for two more years of Top Gear, with Chris Harris and Rory Reid on the main programme, supported by Sabine Schmitz, Eddie Jordan and, of course, The Stig.

This seems like it might be a reasonable compromise. Leblanc is enthusiastic and can drive; Harris is an excellent motoring journalist and can drive like the proverbial excreta/digging-tool interface. Rory Reid, IMO, doesn't have quite the chops of either but held his own on the "extra gear" web specials. I think I'll give it another chance... what is the received wisdom of our assembled company?
