This year pulling the year out of winter storage is proving to be a pain. Mid way through winter the battery gave up completely so I just left in the car to sort out later. On replacing the battery I was unable to deactivate the immobiliser, so replaced key fob battery still no go on starting. Fortunately the spare fob deactivated, however the car still failed to start, heard no familiar squeaking from the fuel pump, replaced the relay and the car started ok. I left the car for a week or so gave it a thorough wash and went for a spin. The car started fine and off I went but the indicators failed to operate, so did the hazard lights, returned home. Everything else seems to be working ok. Once home activated the immobiliser and noticed the dash LED light not flashing. The key fob still deactivates the immobiliser and the car starts. So trouble shooting began, dash pulled out, no loose connectors checked the under dash fuses all ok. After a considerable amount of time tracing wires and trying to decipher various wiring diagrams found a 3 amp in line fuse by the battery had blown, replaced and it blew immediately. The purple/red wire from the fuse connects to the LED, a yellow wire from the LED looks like it connects to the immobiliser box. From the wiring diagrams it also looks like purple/red is also connected to the two indicator relays. So the problem may be the relays or the immobiliser. Has anyone in the forum had a similar issue?
