Very interesting, in as much as my interest in this topic is only because I was the witness to the rape of a drunk young girl when I was about 19. To make it worse it was at an after work party at the flat of a workmate who's wife was in hospital after suffering a miscarriage (I only found that out after), and he was the rapist. The girl concerned was too drunk to realise what was happening until it was too late and was in tears. I was embarrassed and horrified but there were other more senior members of the office present who wanted to hush it up. I simply felt powerless in the circumstances and had no idea what to do. I left the company shortly after this event, and I think the girl did too, but even after 50 years recalling it makes me feel upset and guilty even though about the only thing I could have done was support the girl if she wanted to make a complaint.
