money.
That it works and is harmless to everything, including electrical cables and connectors, is not a manufacturers claim, it is a claim based on evidence from 3rd party testing to meet the exacting requirements of the FAA.

Oh yes, it make all plastic stuff under the bonnet look as new...an aesthetic benefit!
