Just a couple of further thoughts on this.
Simon, you mention that the discs were Morgan specific. Incredible then isn't it that they didn't have two casts done to cater for left and right installation!
That said, given there are no air ducts to the front brakes, is the airflow in there really so smooth that the direction of the vents matters? Could this have been Morgan's thinking and explain and why they didn't bother?

The vanes in the casting actually pump air through the disc as the disc rotates, brake ducting only enhances this effect
