My first exposure to programming was about 1977 or 8 when I was designing roof trusses. I don't recall exactly but a little research seems to indicate I was probably using a Hewlett-Packard 9100A. I really didn't like the reverse Polish notation that HP used. I later started writing the same programs for a similar TI system (TI-99?). Following that I went back to study "Computer Information Systems" as an adult student. Worked on DEC and CPM systems, a little of UNIX, then along came the IBM PC, MSDOS, Windows, Apple, Lisa (Aarrrghh). Mainly worked in sales, customer support, training, etc. Then consulting, network installation, training. I seem to have spent a good deal of my life resolving end user problems in one way or another. I'm one of those strange people who seemed to be able to discover the source of problems and how to resolve it. Even if I did not know how to do it myself I could direct other people to do it. I'm happy to have left it all behind and forget most of what I ever knew.

I never accumulated or kept outdated equipment, probably most disposed of in various office or house moves, the only old computer I still have is a 2002 PC running Windows 2000. I haven't fired it up for quite some time now.

At home we run a PC, a few Samsung Android devices, a TV, and two MacBooks ( and jnr) all hooked up by a cabled and Wi-Fi network. That is enough for me now. I have more fun with the Morgan.
