One of our DonMog members keeps an aeroplane at Leicester Aero Club and used to have a Taylorcraft. I will ask him about your fly in when next I see him - I suspect that a few of your people will have re-fuelled at Leicester Aero Club at the last one.
Yes the pre-fly-in get together and assembly of planes was at Leicester and we enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant in the tower looking out at the runway and wondering, as airmen and women are wont to do, if the weather would clear in time for the next day. It did, which was fortunate as there is only a small window when the farmers field (former runway) is not growing a crop or ploughed. As you can see from the pic it was a stubble field, the crop having been taken off just a few days earlier. We will be back!
