Motorcycle and you guys are probably correct, car not bike.

I know on cars, some are grandfathered in, like a Model T as an example, and don't need seat belts, turn signals etc. They only require what was standard when manufactured. Is it better to have mirrors and seat belts installed in a Model T, yes of course it is.

But on the other hand, my thought was that with either bike or car, if so equipped when new with mirrors, turn signals, seat belts, you have to keep them, not eliminate them.

I know that visibility is good with a M3W, but also on a motorcycle and I would not be without mirrors on any of my motorcycles.

Speaking mirrors and not trying to hijack JV's thread, but here are a couple very dirty pics of the mirrors on my Boardtrack bike project.

You'll notice wires hanging at the grips. Those wires are from the mirrors. These mirrors have hidden gauge LED's under the glass. When powered up, the left mirror has the speedo, left turn arrow, N and high beam indicator. The right mirror has the tach, right turn arrow, low oil pressure and low voltage.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program... smile
