Have a test drive over a weekend!
Drive at least 300 miles to feel the fun and the limitations of the MTW.
Road fun is even better than on a bike but exposure to the elements is more intensive. Mostly bikes have less problems with wind and driving noise.
You can move your legs when riding a bike but you are fixed in a M3W. I appreciate to do short trips with the 3wheeler but would hate to dirve it several hours without major brakes.
Check if your copilot feels fine to join you on longer tours. Communication is rather limited because of noise.
A M3W is a fun thing and I got mine to compensate for a big touring bike - but for long tours I got a 4/4 later one as the M3W did not suite me for that purpose.
My present use of the Moggies is 30% M3W but 70% 4/4. I enjoy them both but the 4/4 would stay with me if I had to give one away.
