The advice of Bill Fink and Maurice Owen (and ratified by John Sheally II) was to cut 1 1/2 loops off of the Rebound Spring. This I have done for years. Then came along Peter Ballard and Hooke's Law which at static be able to turn the rebound spring to insure it is not influencing the Spring Rate. This I have done for several years now on all 3 of My Morgans. With good success I might add.
