Although I use Vaseline on bonnet tape, I'm wondering if Vasilene is the best stuff to use anyway as it's petroleum based and in bushcraft we use vasilene on cotton wool to start a fire
What about a water based lubricant like KY jelly or could this cause corrosion ?
I'm only mentioning it on this thread as bonnet tape came up, not as a suggestion for the side screen rubbing as film is definitely the answer
