Had a call at 1000 this morning from an Asian Indian type voice claiming his name was Mike and it was about my computer. Without further ado I told him he was a scammer and strangely enough he hung up..
Unusual but the number was not withheld and it is 01340 074857
just incase anybody knows where to report this stuff.
Same call, but from 01340 074841 at about 10:45.
I told him that the computer he was talking about was a company issue one and he needed to call our Corporate IT support in Bangalore and gave him the phone number. He said he would follow up. Yes, right.
The number on the caller display is not a real number. They never are.
The criminal gangs behind this stuff have realised we don't answer numbers that look odd. The STD code is for Market Weighton in Yorkshire, but no numbers on that STD code start with 0 or 1.
