I would love an Elan +2 but at near 50 years old now, I'm sure I would be opening a hornets nest trying to find a decent one that was reliable. Also a convertible would be nice for summer.

This is where the Morgan seems to be ticking some boxes. Classic looks and feel, but no restoration needed (albeit a bit of fettling I'm sure)



I dont think you would be any worse off with an old Elan than any other old car of the era. In fact you might well be better off if the one you chose had been put on a new galvanised chassis. The biggest PITA in old cars by a mile is rust
