If it is of any help the car is showing as taxed and having a MOT until the start of April this year.
DVLA allow you to get information from them for a specific reasons, I know you also used to be able (maybe still can?) to fill in a form, pay a fee and they would pass on communication to the current registered keeper on your behalf. I am not sure if you can still do that, it may be worth a phone call?
I know a few people who have received unexpected history\photographs from previous owners who have sent them it via the DVLA.
