Hello,
finally my broken windscreen got replaced today.
The crack in the glass was due to a manufacturing error: the frame had been pressed too much on the top left corner. The mechanic demonstrated it to me: he put a ruler across the corner of the old frame and I could clearly see the gap between frame and ruler exactly where the crack in the glass started!
Small cause, big mess! According to the mechanic they have already a third Swiss customer facing the same problem.
Well, hopefully this matter is settled now once and for all.
Tomorrow I am heading south to join the "Tour de Suisse Romandie" by the Swiss Morgan Club
