Be aware the tread rubbers are quite a way inboard. You may need film over the outer curved area as that is where most scuffing appears to occur on I have never actually touched the treads on my trad but am wary of the curved part of the wing when swinging my feet out. The leather on the rockers is also another at risk area. Carpet would be better there on the older trads.You may be able to polish scuff marks off the film. Try fine polish as described in the other thread for hood windows.
