Found this post.. Am looking into the Air Suspension which Harald mentions, which is used as an additional shock absorber. I changed the Shocks from the Original Bilstens to Avo's and that compounded the spring problem. Given the lack of Bump stop in the AVO, can this be rectified by adding a Spring Assist as Rog did, or do you need both?
It seems odd you have Morgan specialists selling and promoting Avo rear shocks for post 2006 4 seaters if they just make things worse.
I think Harald’s solution is the ultimate way forward. Mine is more of a budget solution. I’m using the springs assist in the pic below now. I’ve done a few thousand miles on these and they are absolutely brilliant. I would not be without them. They do compliment a “good set” of leaf springs. They add a little extra progressive resistance at the extreme end of the spring’s normal movement. They can be adjusted very precisely. Through trial and error I have found the sweet spot now. Bodywork crashing is a thing of the past. It’s a much nicer feel now. I can even feel them come into play and push back on the hard corners. I’m sure something like this on a four seater would be of use.
I even started on making up a few sets of the design below to see if there would be any interest but I must confess that it has slipped down the queue. Too many other things to play with
