John W's stays are designed to go at the after end of the bonnets - the fitting instructions place them as you say Gerwyn. I didn't check whether the ones that have gone to Andy fitted the spring catches - they look the same size as those fitted to RTA (but I could be wrong - alternatively, maybe RTA has larger springs?
