Yep, lots of profit in the options! The definition of an option seems to include paying more for something that replaces something else that almost always costs the same. When I ordered my 2014 'vette, Chevy wanted $500 to build it with a different interior/exterior color combination than what they deemed as "approved" - as if the computer cared what color bits to select to install. And they charge a bunch more to paint the wheels black rather than silver also if I recall... Ah well, choice is good!

I'm sure the Stage 1 pipes cost about the same to make as the standard pipes, unless they are using the very expensive stainless unobtainium alloy (stronger than steel, lighter than air).
