The problem with the manufacturers ecu is that the code is locked and cannot be changed. This is an issue because the stock ecu depends on all sorts of sensors and inputs like airbags that the Morgan simply doesn't have. Ergo, an aftermarket ecu is needed.
An aftermarket ECU is not possible for the GDI engine because the multi-pulse injection required to too complex and would require the investment of too much cash to make it worth while.
